Scope
This section describes the electrical interface between the Launch Provider (LP) ExoLaunch and the SAGE CubeSat.
SAGE Hardware
It is assumed that ExoLaunch will provide 5V or between 7V and 17V. For the second case a Buck-converter will be incorporated on the PCB. For that current design uses a TPS563201DDCR step-down converter module from Texas Industries. A LM66200DRLR dual ideal diode is used to manage the different power sources. The connector for the POBC is a Molex Micro-Lock Plus 505568-1581 and there will is a FSH-107-04-L-DH connector for debugging purposes of the POBC.
SAGE Requirements
- voltage: constant 5V (this is the preferred option) or 7-17V+
- power: 5W (including margins), peaks of upto 12W are possible during camera usage that happens every hour (it has to be tested how long it takes to take a picture, we currently estimate to take ~1s)
- interruptions: the cells are able to sustain power interruptions up to 5 minutes.
- inrush current: needs to be decided/tested
