Scope
This section describes the mechanical interface between the Launch Provider (LP) ExoLaunch and the SAGE CubeSat.
Location
The current plan forsees that the Adapted PCB is located above the ADCS and below the payload box. For this the ADCS might need to be moved a little to provide additonal space that is needed to connect the 15pin D-sub connecter of the POBC. Currently the D-sub connected to the cable approximately needs 15mm additional space below the PAY box. To make this possible a cutout is made on the Adapter PCB.
Ideas for the power connector
We concluded that the mechanical interface can only be located at the +Z face (on the PAY side of the satellite) or on the face where all umbilical connections are located. For the option on the top of the satellite we proposed ExoLaunch that they could implement the battery on the fish can sized cutout that the launchadapter has. The connections would be established via pogo pins and consist of at least for pins for redundancy.
