Which companies to contact
Generally, companies that operate in the aerospace and health sector will be the most likely to sponsor SAGE. It doesn't stop there though. There are companies that operate in the financial or other technological sectors that might be ready to sponsor projects like SAGE to improve their own image or gain access to new talent. When looking up a company, check if they have a sponsoring initiative and what criteria they use to decide who to sponsor.
How to find relevant contacts in the companies
If possible, you should begin by contacting companies where you already have some contacts. Those are the most likely to lead to succesful results. If that's not a possiblity, especially in the case of larger companies, it is fundamental to reach out to the right persons in the company hierarchy. One strategy for finding relevant people is to use rocketreach.co. Linkedin searches and google searches with [name of the person or of the department], [name of the company] can also be used.
Restrictions
- It is strictly forbidden to contact companies whose primary business is weapons and defense. Companies which also work in the defense sector, but also work in other areas, are decided upon on a case-by-case basis.
- Although some companies are not part of the defense sector, we may not want to have their name associated with SAGE for other reasons. Examples are low-cost brands, tobbacco, and alcoholic beverages. Such cases are decided upon on a case-by-case basis. If you are not sure, you can reach out to Victor Elliesen from the ARIS wide organization.
