Strucutral Testing

Shaker-Table Adapter

For the test facility (probably Maxon) we need an adapter. The adapter should follow the rules metioned in the Instar Engineering Handbook. We decided to not fully enclose it: easier to manufacture, can analyze the satellite minimally constrained or with the same constrained as P-Pod (from a visual inspection the rigidity mostly comes from the rails of the ExoPod)

Sensor Placement

For a detailed overview please refer to Sharepoint-Folder 09_Testing>EQM-Team or a Leas/Janik

ComponentSensor TypePlacement
FrameTriaxialSame Height as ADCSCube
Top PanelTriaxialNext to sensor
SATNOGS-boardTriaxialIn Middle ontop of radiation shield ?
OBC-boardTeardrop, Triaxialin the middle, triaxial on thicker board
EPS-BoardTeardropin the middle of board
ADCS-CubeTriaxialmiddle ontop
UHF-Antenna-Release MechanismTeardropin the middle of an edge
PayloadTriaxialIn the middle (if space better in the box itself)
UHF-AntennaTeardropON PCB (is there enough space?)
S-Band AntennaTeadropIn the middle on bottom
GNSS-AntennaTriaxialin the middle on the outside
Sun sensorTriaxialontop of sensor
Solar PanelsTriaxialthree sensors equally spaced
Side PanelTriaxialtwo sensors equally split
ReflectorTriaxialontop of sensor
CameraTeardropontop of camera
Earth SensorTeardropon the backside of sensor
CubeMagTeardropon part with sensor, as its not deployed only one is necessary

Sensor fixation

This is a list of thermally conductive, adhesive epoxies that can be used to fixate the thermal sensors on the necessary components. All epoxies below pass NASA low outgassing tests. The tape that is used for the thermal sensor could also be used for the structural ones.

Todo: Dicuss with Maxon with thats possible.
