Dimensional Verification Test

Testing Equipment​

  • None -> except all original parts of the satellite and the tools described in the Assembly plan

Test Method​

  • The test is conducted in a clean-room according to the Assembly plan.
  • Every action on the satellite should be done with two people. One person is performing the task and the other one is checking it. If we have paper that should be filled in during the assembly to document it, they should also be filled out.
  • Duration: 4h with the subcomponent assembled

Check Condition and Requirements​

  • Parts that should not touch should have at least 3mm of clearance
  • No part that shouldn't be under tension should need force to place it.
  • The scews should also be tested if mentioned in the assembly manual.

Test Judgement​

The criterias apply to all components

  • Parts that should not touch should have at least 3mm of clearance
  • No part that shouldn't be under tension should need force to place it. (This applies to nothing except the screws and the connection between the antenna release mechanism and the antenna themself.)
