CubeSense Sun

The CubeSense Sun has a Field of View of 170 degrees with a pre-calibrated distortion model and full albedo immunity. More on this on the CubeSpace website It is mounted on the +x surface. The performance parameters are documented in the following Table:

Mathematical Description

A fine sun sensor is a sensor that returns the sun vector $\vec{s}$ in the sensor's coordinate frame corrupted by noise $n_{FSS} \sim N(0, \sigma_{FSS}^2)$: $\vec{s}_{measured} = \vec{s} + n_{FSS}.$
